So I had the idea of the world post-gods beimg a dried out husk but now I'm thinking on having it be a flooded world. When the gods died, and the stars began going out, the waters rose till only the tops of certain mountains and other special lands remained. Society is restricted in their living space due to the nature of the islands. Also the ruins of the old world lie deep under the ocean. It is in this world that the Godbound appear.

But wanted to share the idea. :)

I world where waterbreathing rules... hmm maybe the water is like several hundred feet or meters deep but at the bottom there is a bubble of air, 25 foot in height, covering the world, where the survivors live in a post apocalyptic dog eat dog life. They have legends of world were the world was not slowly being drowned by water.

Thanks for the comment. :)

Though I admit that I guess I erred on my last sentence. I didn't mean the Godbound appeared in he ruins under the ocean but rather that it was into this situation they appeared.

Though I admit a thin layer of air at the bottom of the world sounds fun. Hehe

Sounds like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, or Subnautica.
