Medium sized space battle last night as the privateers ran a blockade after having rescued a princess. A couple of minor questions came up, and one major one:

Unless it says otherwise, can a PC department head perform multiple different actions from that department? So for example, can a pilot perform Evasive Maneuvers and Escape Combat in the same round?

With that in mind, the bigger question: none of the Engineering actions have the "Once Per Round" restriction. Does this mean that a very busy and capable engineer Boost Engines, perform Emergency Repairs, and perform Damage Control all in the same round, given enough CP? Can that engineer perform Damage Control twice? Or Boost Engines three times?

The crew is 7th level, and all have level 3 in their respective crew skill. So even with the Captain only Supporting a Department and the Gunner shooting, the pilot, engineer and comms can generate 12CP with ease.

Thoughts? Input?

Yes, the space combat turn is longer than normal combat turn, so that's possible.
In Actions and Command Points section (page 115) it's clarified in the example: "A gunnery chief with 4 Command Points, for example, could use the Fire One Weapon action twice, spending 2 Command Points each time, or he could use the Fire All Guns action once, spending 3 Command Points and leaving 1 left."

Why shouldn't they be able? If its a balance concern in your group, add the restriction of once per round.

Maybe it should work like Damage Control: every attempt after the first in the round is made at +1 difficulty?

It just seems a bit weird, is all.

I disagree, unless you're running with way more players than departments, the party deciding to run nothing but damage control for 15 minutes sounds absolutely fine. I don't think you'd break the game by disincentivizing repeat Damage Control, but it seems like a weird bone to pick.

+Paradox Song that's already how Damage Control works in the rules! Every time you need to do Damage Control after the first time, the difficulty increases by 1. I'm ok with that, because it incentivized not getting shot at in the first place (among other things). I'm fine with Damage Control happening more than once per round for the reason you give: the ship's resources, as well as the spotlight at the table, are being shifted towards the engineer.

I am still trying to wrap my head around Boosting Engines more than once per round.

+Josh Peters Why not? If they want to go really REALLY fast and they can afford CPs, then it seems fine for me. From mechanical point of view I can't see any problems with that. From fiction point of view, I usually ask my players "how" they want to do "the thing".
