I did some digging and noticed that Mr. Crawford did some noodling on a Supers game he called A Second Fire. Anyone know what the status on that is or if a beta was ever put out?

I haven’t heard much since the first time I heard about it. As far as I’m concerned he can make whatever he wants and I’ll buy it! That said, I’ve used Godbound to run a superheroes one-shot with success. It would be even easier now with Lexicon of the Throne.

I've scribbled a few things about it, but it's very much a tertiary project right now. The main sticking point isn't so much the PC-facing systems, it's the sandbox supers tools that I'd have to build for the GM. Conventional superhero comics are very much not a sandbox-type thing, and trying to accommodate the tropes of the genre without clamping things down into a storyline model is a non-trivial exercise.

+Kevin Crawford Not to highjack this thread but since we are talking updates; is there any Wolves of God update inbound, specifically with Artifex / Wise / Magic sketched out to any degree?

+Kevin Crawford Ya, I can see that. In a superhero game, the characters must respond to active threats much more than in other games. So, the charts would be heavily dependent on setting up villainous factions and the like, rolling up goals and even actions for them.

On the flip side, making a supervillian sandbox game would probably be easier since its easier for the PCs to be more active in that case.
