I am so pleased that "Lexicon of the Throne" is out. Haven't got it yet but soon; looking forward to it. I haven't found any reviews online. What do you think of it?

Excellent addition to the line. I'm having fun with the religion generator especially right now. The Words are all evocative, and leave me wanting even more. :)

It’s awesome! All the new gifts are fun, flavorful examples of the design principles in the “how to” section.

Another high quality product from Sine Nomine. Building new Words is great, and the Concept Words (Lich King?) are awesome! Also, good PDF table of contents, which I appreciate.

Does it all make it easier to adapt "Godbound" to a modern day setting?

+Rebecca Ashling Yes.

And my only other comment on this one is...DRAGON!!!

Which means, assuming your GM is a kindly soul, that you can take DRAGON + Faerie Queen + something else and go full frontal Maleficent on somebody's sandbox. (cue maniacal laughter) My inner child is pleased as punch.

+Rebecca Ashling very much so. The Engineering, Network, AI, and Peak Human Words are all very much targeted at modern/sci fi games.

Can you have more than one Concept Word, then? Artificial Intelligence and Dragon seem to go together for me. You can blame "Worm" for that.

+Rebecca Ashling Yes, you can. Says so on page 38:

"A PC can pick one of them as one of their starting three Words, or can pick several if they want to play a cybernetic dracolich."

They are, of course, still optional, and it also says this a little later:

"A GM is entirely within their rights to dismiss a concept Word entirely if such creatures do not exist in their world."

So your furlongs per fortnight may vary.

Hmmm. Cybernetic dracolich...

Keep in mind that there is an incorrect gift listed for Entropy if you intend to purchase the physical book. I do not know whether this will be corrected in the future, but I personally have ordered a print through Lulu using the PDF version. A bit more expensive, but I had a free shipping code.

+Samuel S. I'm waiting a couple of weeks before ordering to give the print cycle a chance to run through the typo.

Nice. I wish there was a hardcover option on DTRPG, but that's what my Lulu print is. I can't wait to get it!

Pretty good but I honestly wish we could have gotten a bit more on Word and Gift designs even if I cannot quite pinpoint for sure what else I need. Overall it is a really solid product barring the aforementioned issues which need to be fixed. The lack of extra material for Theurge and tips of statting Low Magic is a shame but I suppose we'll just have to wait for a book on the subject matter.

But overall? Can't remotely say a bad thing about it. It was worth the wait.

+Bob Something Was there anythinɡ about the cosmoloɡy of the settinɡ?

+Rebecca Ashling Not directly, but there's the religion section. How true/accurate these faiths are is up to the GM. As with everything in Godbound, the game is very much a toolbox for you to adapt as you see fit.
