What kind of beeings can fall under the apotheosis gifts?
The question has come up if, for instance, a greater Eldritch or one of the not-strictly-human strife masters from the Martial strifes, were to pledge themselves to the pcs, freely or under threat, would they be as helplessly subjected to their divine powers as other followers?
Especially the ability to kill them with a moments concentration with no save allowed would be of interest in such a situation.
Kevin CrawfordAnybody that isn't a valid subject for divine worship of their own, really. If such a being pledged, they'd be subject like anything else until they found another worship_ok entity to accept them instead.

in my game, that is something that the group thinks may have happened. I don't think a player would ever KNOW that someone was gathering Dominion from worshipers. At best, they might know if they lost some of their own, but would not know to whom without questioning them.
For stories, the possibility is enough to drive them though.
