Crowdsourcing my next session a bit.

What are some obstacles a party of bounty hunters could expect to face if they’re trying to make it offworld undetected while the corporation they’re meant to be working for is throwing a raging New Year’s bash for its top brass? They’re trying to escape without said corp noticing, because they didn’t kill the person they were hired to kill.

I’m assuming there will be at least one security checkpoint they have to pass through on foot, and at least one they’ll have to pass through offworld. Any other obstacles you can think of?

How big is the party? A chase/sneak through an active parade could make for a fun set piece

It might be interesting for them to be confronted by another bounty hunter, who is willing to forget he saw them for a price (think Greedo vs Han Solo).

They can get wrapped up in all sorts of trouble that is actually someone else's fault: the authorities disapprove of the ongoing riotous behaviour and are looking for scapegoats.

Don't forget the corporate "detail squad" that was sent to tie up all loose ends regardless of how the PCs' mission unfolded: they are discreetly pursuing the PCs with murderous intent, and they're operating with home-field advantage.

Don’t forget to tie them up in customs/docking/flight control red tape to get off-world. Bribes may be necessary to expedite the normal process or delay posting the ship in records, etc. Though if you haven’t done stuff like this before with the the planet, it might seem arbitrary
