So are there any future supplements on the plate for SWN Revised? I remember a mention of a genetic modification supplement around the Starvation Cheap days, but that's all I remember.

I asked Kevin about what space magic might be like in that supplement, and this is what he described:

Psychics have the MES-A substrain of metadimensional extroversion syndrome, while arcanists have the MES-B strain, which requires much more preparation to deploy but has much more flexibility in what theoretical "spells" can be channeled through the user. Standard training protocols create arcanists with the "Academic" traditions, while nonstandard methods create "Esoteric" magisters with more idiosyncratic and focused traditions. Then there's a hypothetical MES-C to explain the weird abilities of adepts, but most adept traditions think it's all bunkum and have their own traditional explanations for their abilities.

As a rough sketch so far, I've vague ideas about the following traditions:

Academics: The Architects: Building and engineering magic. Pacter: Summoner and dealer with quantum multiversal Shadows Pontifex: Spatial arcanists

Esoteric Schools: Xuanxue, the Dark Learning: Preceptor offshoot focused on divination and secret-finding. Rectifiers: healing arts by way of arguing over transhumanism Storm Legion: Combat mages

Heritor Classes Yama Kings: Exchange of Light monk-enforcers Ghost Eaters: uses encoded shadows of people's minds to augment their abilities. Walkers Behind: Hunt-adepts, heirs of an alien race that bade them hunt them before vanishing
